Made an impromptu visit to the thrift store this past Saturday with my sister. All in all, I went home with three items for around $7 – score! Pictured below is a polkadot romper, leopardish maxi skirt and a colorful belt. Less is more, right?
Modeling the skirt, it’s really huge in the waist, but luckily the string can be tied and it just looks like it’s supposed to be that way — flowy and all :)
Unfortunately, these amazing cowboy boots did not come home with me. They were sooo tiny, now that I look at the picture they do look really small. Huge bummer of the night, they were practically brand new. Small feet suck anyway… psh
On a side note — I’m counting down the days, hours, minutes, seconds to Friday. I hope the warm weather keeps up in Florida this weekend! :)
Lazy posts, I know I know. I’ve been slacking on my Year of DIY stuff BUT— I have some new ideas, I still want to finish the projects I started… little slow on that. Next week, I promise!
Yesterday… I wore everything from Target- how did that happen? We hit a whopping 60 degrees, all the snow is melting, it’s almost gone really– like the blizzard didn’t even happen!
So happy Friday!
I feel like I’ve just had the craziest and busiest week ever. We’re really swamped at work and that’s good, not bad. However, tiring for sure.
I took these pictures this past weekend but had no time to get them up, sorry! I’m posting now, some goodies from my closet :) First— is an amazing bag by Billabong from Carol @ TC!!! I couldn’t love it more, this will be my go-to bag for everything this Summer. It’s pretty large so it can serve as an overnight bag, too. I’m all for versatility ;) and that it’s totally boho too -yay!
I did take a trip down to Macy’s and couldn’t find anything I liked … except! — this cute makeup bag from Fossil. I already stuffed my makeup essentials in it, I fell for this print, isn’t it adorable? I’m a huuuge fan of Fossil bags / wallets / you name it. If I could buy it all, I would.
And lastly … I’ve had dreams about these shoes from H&M – I’ve seen them months ago when they first came out, in the leopard print as well. I saw them, they were my size so I got them. Cute and comfy, and I love the wedge. Summer needs to come now so I can rock’em ;)
So that’s my HC update– I forgot to take pictures of some other things so I might share those later on… I’m just really looking forward to the weekend — excited to see I Am Number Four!!!
Sharing the full view of my outfit from yesterday, it was really comfy – minus the boots. They make a lot of noise when I walk and I wanna know how to get rid of it. The soles are so hard and I tried putting anti-slip stickers on it, but that didn’t help at all. Any suggestions?
I am really off schedule because of Friday – I didn’t go to work and it just seemed like the weekend, yesterday at our *awesome* get-together I kept thinking it was already Sunday. Really looking forward to tomorrow for the rescheduled Robyn concert – the wait is killing me! Taking it easy today… maybe I’ll hit up Macy’s to use this ridiculous giftcard — I don’t shop at Macy’s ever- never getting that again, bleh :/
Are you guys gonna watch the Grammy Awards? I’m curious to see Lady Gaga’s get-up and performance… hm
Happy Sunday, can you believe it – it’s snowing again! But yesterday was sunny and warm-ish, I hanged with my mom and grandma all day. We went to IMAX and I finally watched a movie in 3D … can you believe that! I was actually pleasantly surprised :) after that, we hit the mall and looo and behold — I shopped!
I didn’t get all these items yesterday, they kind of collected these past couple weeks. So I figured I would just show everything at once. My sister still has my D60 so these pictures were taken with my little Nikon :)
1) This dress from Forever 21, I just can’t wait to wear it. 2) Brownish dress from H&M, I love that fabric. 3) I’ve had my eye on this sweater since I saw it last month… yay patches! 4) Plain black “silky” top from Target, picture doesn’t do justice :/ 5) not new, blue Volcom pants I’m gonna wear on Friday to the ROBYN concert!!!!!
Last week I finally got the maxi skirt I wanted, I splurged on this Pendleton/navajo print sweater – it’s sooo comfy!
Holy crap do I look tall in that! :)
The day is still young and I have a couple DIY-ish things I want to get out of the way to post this week, see ya!
Here’s the ring I got! This was a random find at none other than Target. It looks almost exactly like the rings and inspirations from my Outer Galaxy Crystals post.
I just know this ring will be a lot of fun to wear this year :)
It’s Friday!!!!! I’m so soo happy the week has come to an end! It’s been suuper busy for me, whoa!
Today I’m starting off with sharing something new from my closet. I got this ridiculously pretty lace vest from Charlotte Russe earlier this week. Best.buy.ever. I can’t wait for Summer so I can rock this on top of everything I own. So pretty and effortless
See the ring?! It’s a ~faux~ quartz ring like from my inspirations post!!!! Posting a better picture a bit later today… good buy too!
The last installation of Hazel’s Closet takeover for this week, or month … I promise! There’s been quite a few spam posts… today’s item, however, doesn’t technically come from my closet.
I snagged this crazy looking top right from my grandma’s room! I saw it from the corner of my eye as it was laying on a seat cushion — I just had to investigate. To be completely honest, it fits perfectly! I love the sleeves and the shape, it has a tight band on the bottom that can be tucked into jeans, skirts, and here shorts :) I am definitely feeling it!!!
With that said, HC week is over and I’m exhausted. More to come soon… must fill closet with more goodies … that is if they fit haha
Hello Friday!!!!! Hazel’s Closet spam continues … It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any warm weather anytime soon and seeing these colors really makes me want Spring! I’m ready for a brighter wardrobe.. planning a little getaway to Las Vegas in March… sooo exciting :P
Above featured: my DIY dreamcatcher necklace as seen here, H&M tank, Element Eden pant (I think)
BTW – soooo glad it’s Friday, I’m ready for the movies … seeing The Green Hornet!
