I went on a hunt to find this top at the store but did not see it.
I’m slightly if not a lot upset.

Complete girl crush!

Happy Friday — I’m off for my vacay tomorrow :D
DIY Decal Glass Design
As inspired by my previous post, follow the directions below for creating and applying decal graphics!
Materials: glasses/cups, vinyl decal, transfer tape, scissors/Xacto knife, bonus points if you have a machine cutter like Silhouette.
Start by measuring the diameter of your glasses, mine were around 8.5″

I used my fancy Silhouette program and Illustrator to create triangle cutouts, but designs can be created with an Xacto knife or even scissors. Many craft stores carry pre-cut vinyl lettering and/or shapes that can be applied to many surfaces.
Take out extra material to reveal your design, apply transfer tape.

Peel transfer tape slowly with your design *tip* cut it in a few places to work with a smaller surface and apply one by one. When the tape sticks to your glass it might wrinkle and leave the design wrinkly (as seen on my final piece)

Ta-da you’re done!

This was super fun to create, I thought about doing all sorts of designs with words and icons – maybe make party favors or personalized gifts? I think this would be a nice present for mother’s day coming up! It might not be entirely washing safe so be careful if you attempt this project.
I hope you’ve enjoyed! :)
DIY Inspiration: Graphic cups & tumblers
Today I’m inspired by cute designs on these tumblers I saw while browsing Hobby Lobby. I usually don’t walk around the store because I have specific items in mind, though this time was different. I was two steps away from buying these cuties at $1.99 a pop but thought they could be DIYed with my own designs, so why not?

My goal for today is to organize the materials I need, getting super cheap glasses from the thrift store shouldn’t be too difficult (I hope) – keep you posted!
Here’s a few more inspirational glasses for your pleasure :)

Phew, I think that’s enough! I couldn’t stop myself and found much more on Etsy. If I had unlimited space and funds, I’d definitely buy all of these!
Inspiration: Anthropologie May 2012 Catalog
My favorite pages from the newest Anthro catalog, Summer can’t come fast enough!

DIY Inspiration for the last week of April
No-carve stamps using silicone caulking – This is kind of genius, already planning to make my own stamps! I would like to see if it works with hot glue as well…

Update your cutoffs – This is a pretty easy DIY, fabrics can be mixed and you could even add studs and make it punk rock.

DIY Screenprint Tee – this is not a new concept, it’s been floating around but nevertheless it couldn’t be easier. Get your t-shirts out and start printing!

DIY Cathrineholm Candle holders – Fun way to inexpensively change up your boring and plain candle holders, by occasion or season – endless possibilities.

DIY Moroccan Lanterns – This is the coolest DIY by far in this list. I cannot wait to make my own lanterns, they’ll be great in my bedroom makeover!

Happy crafting!
New toy: 50mm lens!
My new lens came in the mail and I’m happy as ever! I’ve only just begun playing with it, it’s definitely a little different – you have to take multiple shots and hope that one of them is in focus (or some sort of focus.)

I can’t wait to see how this takes pictures outdoors and then I’ll give my final verdict. Happy Thursday!
My workspace & a little photo log
Happy Friday to all! I’m glad the week has come to an end, I need a little rest from another crazy work week. Besides work, I actually accomplished and finished new necklace designs and that’s always a good thing.
My desk is usually very cluttered, it cannot be clean for more than a day. I always end up coming up with something and messing around with findings, chains or beads. Of course, in the middle is my giant computer. Ah the life of a crafter, huh?

“half messy”

Taken with Nikon D60 and Diana F+ lens
These pictures were taken some weeks ago with my Nikon camera and the Diana F+ toy lens. I bought the adapter from Photojojo (LOVE their site!) and immediately started playing around with the possibilities.
I like the convenience of digital picture taking so having a “toy lens” effect is a plus. There’s no zoom so you really have to play with distance, just like using a regular film camera, and also changing the settings on the camera itself. Seeing the pictures on screen makes it easier to change settings and get the right shot!
Since I’m on the subject of camera lenses, I just purchased a new lens and can’t wait for it to arrive. I sold my other lens because it was just too bulky and a pain in the butt to switch. I’m pretty excited about this new one, it’s a 50mm prime lens that should get really nice shots with depth of field. I will definitely be taking that with me to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon next month (21 days)!
Have a great weekend!
New mixed necklaces
Finally put together some new pieces! I’m pretty excited about them, love the mixed black with gold plated metal triangles. Expect to see these in the shop very soon!
PS: Happy Thursday!
DIY Inspiration for the Home
I recently started planning a bedroom makeover so of course, finding inspiration on Pinterest is super easy / time killer / work procrastinator / etc. etc. – I found a few nice home DIYs that I can’t wait to put to use. Especially recovering lampshades and making my own pillowcases, I think that will be fun :)
