Have a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New Year crafts
Only a couple more days left in 2011 and I know everyone is looking forward to the new year – I am, too! Started making some new jewelry and can’t wait to get into the groove again. Also, is it bad that I’m wishing for snow? We’ve been having weirdly warm weather over here and I just want some white fluff on the ground.
But anyway, today I wanted to share some cute NYE ideas I found on Pinterest and the like! :)
Happy Thursday!!!!!!
Happy Monday!
Happy 2nd day of Christmas! This has been a very nice weekend, filled with loads of food and super sunny weather. I think I’m ready for some after Christmas shopping!

I spent the morning at the thrift store with 50% off coupons all day, I got a few items but didn’t spend too much. I’ll be staying away from the mall for a while, since it’s packed like crazy. Maybe gift myself a new phone??? Hello iPhone!
Back to work tomorrow, time to enjoy the rest of the day/year!! :)
Paper crafts and Insta-spam
Happy Hump Day! The past week has been a bit busy, the holiday season has my head all over the place. I’m making lots of progress and brainstorming new projects for 2012!!!
But it’s just a few days away from Christmas and I have snowflakes on my mind – everywhere. I’m a bit obsessed with my Cricut snowflake cartridge (what a great buy!) and cutting snowflakes is a breeeeze! Plus they can stay up all through January :)

More snowflake cutouts! // Popsicle stick snowflakes

Tree glimmer!

Doggy love
// Lots of rings

We’re having our holiday party and Secret Santa exchange tomorrow at work, fun times! But now I think I need to make more snowflakes and sketch up new jewelry, or better yet – paint my nails! Either way, it’s a chill week :)
10 Days til Christmas! A small wishlist…
Happy the-best-day-of-the-week AKA Thursday! Christmas is just 10 days away, WHAT?! I’m only getting a few gifts this year but whoa that came fast! I made a little wishlist just because I keep browsing for random things on Pinterest :)

Pretty Quilt | Lasso Scarf – Rose/Indigo | Lollia Eau De Parfum – Lavender & Honey
Society6 Aztec iPod skin | Red Stone-Washed Cord Toms
Rainy day blues
It’s a little gloomy and rainy today, a very weird weather for December. I’ve been a little preoccupied for about a week and I’m finally getting into creating things.

I started some paper projects that I hope to share in the next couple days and also some new bracelets. Still playing around with designs and using buttons to fasten. I can’t wait to make some sets for the shop!
I leave you with a picture of my munchkin :)

(she kinda needs a haircut)
Christkindlmarket
It’s Monday already? What a weekend. Most exciting part was finally picking up my car!!!!! It drives like a dream and it’s soo roomy. Best Christmas gift ever, and I can check off getting a new car off my to-do list for this year. Sweet success :)
Weekends are always for movies and eating really good food. I saw The Help and loved it, also laughed a bit at the new Johnny English movie. Rowan Atkinson is (as always) brilliant.
Spent Saturday evening – one of the coldest nights of the year – at the Christkindlmarket by Daley Plaza in Chicago. It was crowded and lots of people were Christmas shopping, despite the really freezing weather. We only snapped a few pictures…

Coocoo clocks! I wanted one of the green ones so bad!

Little hedgehogs :)

My sis and I at the tree!

The market is going on until Christmas Eve so hop on over when you can – if you like good German food and sweets, one of a kind handmade gifts and some holiday cheer, you will not be disappointed :)
Pinterest Wednesday!
Hello there! I’ve been a little quiet, the last few days have left me super drained. I did however, GET A CAR! I got a 3 day run-around from the bank but was finally able to give the dealer a check. I have a possible buyer for my car right now and cannot wait to pickup my big girl car on Saturday. Phew!
Well anyway, I’ve been collecting inspiration and pinning/liking a bunch of different things on my Pinterest, it’s a great time killer – let me know if you need an invite!
I just love everything about Stefanie and Erin‘s new shop!

Quick DIY: Festive & Fancy Gold Painted Spoons
Rounding up the week with a quick DIY based off my inspiration post on Monday. Add a bit of flare to plain wooden spoons to use at your holiday dinners. Enjoy!

Materials: wooden spoons (ie: this set from Ikea), gold acrylic paint, paint brush, masking tape.

1) Tape off some sections on your spoon to create stripes.

2) Once the tape is in place, start painting on thin layers until you like the look.

3) Take off your tape before the paint is done drying, that way you’ll get a nice clean line.

4) Ta-da you’re done!

Happy Friday! It has been a good week – got my perfect car in an auction yesterday and I can’t wait to get started on the paperwork and more importantly — to drive it!!
